Selena
She broke down barriers within the music business as a singer, performer and designer. Her dual role as the Mexican American performer was conventional and modern. She brought Tejano to mainstream fame through her ingenuity. Much like of a brilliant and friendly star is lost far too early and unexpectedly, it caused her to lose the popularity she had been gaining. Many mourned all of the potential that was not fully realized. To stop her successes from going unnoticed her many admirers over the past times have been motivated to do even more. The death of Selena triggered emotions in the Latino community that is similar with Elvis Presley, and John Lennon. She was an incredibly loved singer by Latinos throughout North America. But her songs touched the hearts of both young as well as the elderly. Selena may have been hailed by many as the Latina Madonna, but she's still a fantastic example to follow. Selena's family values off stage as well as her involvement with AIDS awareness efforts provide a great example.
